There is a really fantastic artist I am quite fortunate to be friends with named Sarah Walko that gets her creative hands into absolutely everything! You name it, she has done it! Including a tres avant-garde film she has been working on for over a year with a charming smarty-pants named Victor Ruano with which she went to grad school. Lucky for me, they asked me to come by and do hair & make-up! Though a charming invite, I know my talents lie elsewhere, so I coaxed my very very super-duper talented hair and make-up master pal Jarrett to take my stead and I played stylist and headpiece-maker. And just to complete the recipe, I snagged my assistant Gina to help me out with fabric-based quandaries while the stunning intrepid photographer Alexis pictorially documented our efforts for the day. A true “A-Team”!!!!!!!!
The rough “plot” for this particular shoot is that these characters are about to dine on this man, who I sprayed down with olive oil and actually floured, ready to roast! The action that followed was not in them dining, but in preparing the feast, including a giant raw mackerel as well as other fresh seafood, small colorful candies and other creepy trimmings to complete the well-balanced meal. Yummmmm!
So behold the fruit of all of our efforts, masterfully captured by Lady Alexis Abreu! I hope your Thanksgiving is just as artfully quizzical! xxhk
