Prozac Playground focuses on the idea of kids being medicated instead of parented; anti-depressants, and other medicines prescribed to children rather than looking at other factors that might be affecting behavioral growth. The wonderful Halina Kirschner created three artworks that Klar then turned into textile prints. The theme plays from a kid’s perspective in having a distorted view of traditionally child-ish things because of their medications; a tad hazy and even a bit sad & numb. The silhouettes are a nod to “child” clothes, but have a weird spin on what it means to be an adult too and how parents often try and mold their children as themselves.
